Six ex-St Mary’s girls, who all left in 2000, gave up their weekend, busy lives, husbands/partners and braved the drizzle in order to participate in the Dorchester Breakthrough Walk, an 11 mile circular walk returning to Dorchester via Maiden Castle and Hardy’s Monument, to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Nine girls originally signed up but illness and a train strike caused 3 of them to drop out at the last minute. Members of staff who remembered the girls were kind enough to sponsor them and Claudia Awdry would like to thank them all for their donations.
The girls who took part were, from left to right, Jess Gordon, Alice Wilson, Tessa Acheson, Charlotte Drewry, Antonia Wilson and Claudia Awdry.
