Isobel won the Dorset SC Championships and was selected to represent Dorset at the South West Cross Country Championships in Truro at the weekend. She ran a champion race in appallingly muddy conditions, with lots of steep banks to run up. She led the first lap and was overtaken by the girl who won the English schools last year a quarter of the way into the second lap. 300m meters from the end three other girls passed her, leaving her 5th with only 10 seconds separating 2, 3 4 and 5. It was all very exciting and she really enjoyed it.
The four girls above her are all year 9s so Isobel was the 1st back for Year 8 in the south West!
