A Level results 2011
The girls at St Mary’s have again achieved outstanding results at A level. The great energy and enthusiasm which the girls bring to their studies is reflected in an excellent crop of results across all subjects. The 20% of grades at A* (more than twice the national average) and 83% at A*-B, reflect the recent ISI inspection report which concluded that the school’s “progress at A level is exceptional.” Almost a third of all candidates gained straight A/A*s.
I am delighted with this year’s results. The girls have achieved a great deal during their time at St Mary’s whilst contributing so much in the areas of music, art, sport and drama. I am very proud of all the girls and grateful to the staff for their dedication and hard work. These results, following on from our outstanding Inspection report, are a wonderful affirmation of St Mary’s as an academic school that offers an exceptional holistic education.
St Mary’s is a school with strong traditions and values and, with building plans for a new teaching centre and an art department extension, we are on a sure footing for an exciting future.
