The term began with an early visit from the ever-popular Primary Book Fair.
Despite its name, this fair caters for all ages, and can be relied on to offer good new fiction to whet many appetites. Teachers and girls alike bought many books, and the Library added some lovely titles to the shelves as a result. The next fair will be held at the end of February by Pennies from Heaven and will cater for artists and those interested in Art.
More new shelves have had to be ordered for the new books. These include many which are ordered for Sixth year personal studies, or for a new exam syllabus. By keeping the shelves to the outside of the space the Library does not appear overcrowded. It is hoped that a complete stocktake can be completed this year. This is difficult to do without disturbing those who are studying, so must be fitted in around exams, lessons, and other activities.
Cataloguing of other departmental libraries is also being undertaken, which will enable all school resources thus entered to be searched.
We have received a number of donations throughout the year. Many thanks to all those who have given for their generosity .
