Mary Ward Day

This movie requires Flash Player 7. Download Flash Player to view the slideshow.

Every year we celebrate the life of Mary Ward who founded the CJ order (formerly IBVM) and this year was no exception.  After a few lessons in the morning, we had a lovely Mass where the choir sang a version of Ave Maria which had been composed for our choir by Fr Andrew Moore, our Priest.  It was heavenly and the choir really enjoyed singing it.

After a sumptuous lunch, girls began money-raising activities which included dressing up as characters from Shrek, painting faces, nails, palm reading and numerous other activities before the Upper VI performed their annual Revue.  It was a lovely day and over £200 was raised to send to Sr Anna in York, who runs an educational centre for the deprived.

A big thank you to Mr Rowland for the photos in the slideshow.
