Just before the start of Advent, but only one week before the end of term, we have our annual Christmas concert. Every year on the last two days of term we have our religious celebrations so this is a chance to sing those “Jingle Bells” songs which children love. The evening was amazing with Percussion groups playing the bongos, the xylophone, the marimba and the drums, a junior choir, a recorder consort, flute groups and the amazing orchestra which was made up of girls from every year group in the school. The highlight was Lissy’s rendition of “O Holy Night” which sent shivers up everyone’s spine because it was truly divine. The staff had to start “Deck the Halls” twice as they couldn’t quite get the timing right first time but it was eventually enjoyed by all. It was a lovely way to begin our Christmas celebrations.
