Clarinet Choir
‘Clarinet Choir’ is a thirty-five minute period of relaxing and joyful playing of music, for all ages and standards.
We have investigated many genres of music, for example classical,
can-can, swing and folk. We have also discovered many wonderful
composers as we portray their creativeness through the clarinet,
imaging beautiful sounds. Some of these pieces have included,
‘Lillibulero’ by David Farnon, ‘Swan Lake’ by Peter IIyich Tchaikovsky
and ‘Swingin’ the Blues’ by Edmund Connolly.
So far there is a total of five in the group to which we are
all very proud to be a part of. It’s also so nice to meet different
year groups and to get to know them better. You don’t have to be a
grade eight student to come, its just so enjoyable and you’ll love it
once you’ve started. Sometimes we are even lucky enough to pair up with
the ‘Dancing Jennies’ (the brass group) which we all very much enjoy
doing!
So come along and see what you’re missing out on!
