St Mary's School employs a small team of nurses. Senior Nurse Sophie Savage is supported by Kathy Webber, Jane Lewis, Patricia Ross-Hurst and our latest addition to the team, Mrs Alice Lyons.
The nurses at St Mary's always aim to be kind, caring and approachable while dealing with the girls' medical requirements.
The Infirmary has close contact with the local medical centre, Abbey View in Shaftesbury. The school doctors, Dr Simone Yule and Dr Simon Horner each visit once a week.
The Infirmary, with its fully equiped surgery, is a modern purpose-built building able to accomodate up to six girls, with one single room used for isolation if required. Each room has a wash basin and television.
There is always a nurse on duty between 8.00 am and 8.00 pm, seven days a week.
