Charity Fashion & Art Show Raises £1,500!
Everything from bubble-wrap to designer dresses appeared on the catwalk at the school's clothes and art show which raised £1,500 for charity.
Money raised from the two night extravaganza (3-4 February) will be split between bone marrow transplant charity The Anthony Nolan Trust and One 2 One Kids which funds projects for needy chidren around the globe.
The show was organised by Jane Hobbs and Sally Awdry who said: "It was just fantastic, the atmosphere was electric. The girls did brilliantly and their talent shone through." The school rock band "Lights Out!" finished off the entertainment. Highlights of the show included:
Exotic creations from top designers Georgina von Etzdorf and old girl Constance Eyre whose third collection will be shown at London Fashion Week later this month
Skirts made from recycled jeans sporting unique applique fabrics and tie-dyed sarongs made by the girls
Scarves and teddies made by younger pupils (with a little help from staff and headmistress Mrs McSwiggan!)
Creations made from dustbin liners, salvaged material, net and sequins made in two hours one Saturday afternoon in school ...
