Autumn Term 2007

Another year has gone by and we have once again said 'goodbye' to the U6 house team. It is at this point that I want to say thank you for all their hard work last year and for their friendship over the years. They are now concentrating on their studies and we have appointed a wonderful new team to take their place.

Cosima is the new House Captain and Charlotte and Alice are her Deputies. They have been working very hard with all the team for the last two weeks and have already run a very successful 'Happy Hour'. The team made the Mulwith House Chocolate Cake in my flat the day before and this was demolished on the Friday evening along with copious amounts of other 'goodies'.

All the new girls have settled in very well and it is hard to believe they have only been with us for five weeks. Carla has already represented the school in a Water Polo match and Elena and Bella are now representing the school as 'goalkeepers' in their hockey teams. Emily has gone through to the next round of the Under 15 County Hockey trials and Clare and Sophie have gone through to the next round of the Under 14 County Hockey Trials. I will update you on their progress as soon as we have some more news.

This Friday the Lower 6 team have invited the Lower 5 to supper in my flat. The menu is Chicken Fajitas and with the help of Mr Salmon, chief cook in my family I am sure we will have a delicious meal followed by a game of 'Articulate'. Photos will be available from next week.

We are also looking forward to the Inter House Drama this Sunday. The girls have all learnt their lines and the rehearsals have been going well. I would like to thank the directors and the actresses for the time they have given. I do not know how they have found the time because they are always so busy. We will post some photos as soon as we have them. ;

Unfortunately we are still trailing in the 'Gold Ticket' race but we will keep trying this term. Our time will come eventually!!!
